Issues When Calculating The 3D Window (stereoscopic filmmaking)

This is a graphic illustration of the issues that need to be addressed in order to properly calculate the 3D window:

If you'll notice, everything forms a triangle; from 2 eyes (cameras) to the poc (black lines). From zero divergence to infinite divergence(red lines).

Those are the two triangles.

Both of them make proportionate changes over distance.

The graph shows divergence. It does not show screen size. That is seperate issue that is indirectly related to this chart.

This chart is resolution and screen size independent but it illustrates everything you need to know to figure out a 3D window. The only thing left for a person to do is assign values to the triangles.
